Confirmation and High School Ministry News

Registration Closed September 1, 2020.

Welcome to the second year of your child’s sacramental preparation for Confirmation! We are so happy that we can be a part of his or her journey in faith. Because this is such a special time in our church life, the Diocese of San Diego has some special requirements for each child and family. As you are probably well aware, attendance is incredibly important as we prepare for one of our most important components of Catholic life. If a child is not in a Zoom session, he or she misses the formation necessary for meaningful understanding of the sacrament. Every child should be in the Zoom session classes at least 80% of the time. Since we have 10 sessions, they need to be present for at least 8 of those days.

Note: Please remind your teen that they must have the camera ON during ALL mandatory meetings.

Confirmation Retreat

We will have a required Confirmation retreat day scheduled on March 6, 2020. I will update you with more information as the year progresses. This, again, is a requirement of the Diocese of San Diego and MUST be attended to complete sacramental preparation.

TUITION-Pre-Registered before September 1, 2020

Tuition payments can be dropped off in the parish office. Please include your name, your child’s name, and a telephone number on the envelope. Tuition Fees are: $35.00 for one child $70.00 for two children $110.00 for three or more

Baptism Certificate

A copy of your child’s birth certificate is required and should be dropped off in the parish mailbox unless your child was baptized at St. Didacus Church.

I will be sending my communications through Flocknote, using phone messages and emails. Please check your email and spam email regularly. I will send you reminders as different events approach. Stay healthy and take care of yourselves. May the Lord keep all of us in His care in these uncertain days and until our community can be together again. We are united in prayer.

God bless,
